At 24mm, both lenses distort the image to the same extent. At 105mm f/4, I saw similar results, though it looks like the Sigma retains a bit more contrast and sharpness in the edges. Sigma 24-105mm f/4 OS vs Canon EF 24-105 f/4L IS. Looking at (approximately) 50mm, I noticed the Canon was quite soft, even stopped down to 8.
